A photographer (the Greek φῶς (phos), meaning "light", and γραφή (graphê), meaning "drawing, writing", together meaning "drawing with light")[1] is a person who makes photographs.
My field of work is photography I use my camera to capture light on a subject, I strive to tell a story sometimes that of desire. I don't take a "few pics" for your Instagram followers. I don't even provide a service... my business is classified as an art studio.
There are many photographers who take photos of pinterest and recreate them... there is a true need for that in our society... people see images and love them and want that image of themselves. There is nothing wrong with that. With that said, that is not what I do, if you have a long list of images you want done, that is not for me. I turn down those sessions. I am not a monkey pushing a button.
I do photography as a joy, not a job. I create beautiful images because I love doing so. I am not over booked, I am not stretched thin. I edit every image myself and don't farm it out to a second company or have someone else in house edit them for me... I take pride in the whole process... from planning designing, to shooting, hair, makeup post process, submitting them to magazines and publishing them. This is what I do, I write a story for your eyes.
